Customer Reviews
PROS:
  • 1500+ Uncompressed RAW images on my Nikon D810 (approx 70 mb each) This is the card I take to an event to make sure it all gets on the same card. The card is fast & gets those huge files out of the buffer rather quickly when shooting at 5fps. I don’t really do video but this card claims to be able to capture 4K video & you have a lot of room to do it. I have shot about 800 pics on this card since I got it about a week ago with no problems, but then again I never really worry with SanDisk.
  • The card works fine. Prices vary a lot at different major retailers. Make sure your reader is new or firmware-updated to UDMA7, at which point the download speed is amazing. If the speed is the same as or slightly slower than older cards, that’s how you’ll know you need UDMA7 update or a new reader.
  • Having used most brands of memory cards (SanDisk, Lexar, Delkin, Hoodman and others), SanDisk seems to be the one that never breaks down, even when shooting RAW stills at 10 frames per second. Professionally, I cannot shoot a subject for a day or longer and find that my CF is junk and the time spent “getting the shot” was a waste of time. More expensive? Yep. Worth it? Darn right!!!

CONS:
  • I purchased two of these hoping for speed. Instead, we received inconsistent performance and corrupted files. My husband and I both use Canon 5D Mark III cameras and compact flash media all the time as we are both professional photographers. This is the first time we’ve experienced corrupted files with SanDisk. We had trouble with both CF cards. My husband tossed his and I was hoping to get a refund. Unfortunately I waited too long to take action and a refund is not possible.
  • I bought a SanDisk 32GB CF card in 2012 and used it almost daily with zero problems until this year when it randomly died in the middle of a file transfer. I purchased this card as a replacement. Used it once and all files were corrupt upon transfer and unable to be recovered. Amazon sent a replacement, but now, less than a month later, this card is unreliable and giving corrupt files. I used to think that SanDisk was the best brand of memory cards, but my faith has been shaken by these recent problems. From some of the review, it sounds like I’m not the only one.
