4D Cityscape Puzzle Paris
4D Cityscape is a patented, multi-layer puzzle that is fun, challenging, and educational. Assemble the first two layers of the puzzle to form a map of the city’s streets, islands, roads, railways, parks, and geography. When the base layers are complete, you’re ready for a trip through history!
This 4D Cityscape Puzzle Paris recreates Paris’ famous skyline, not only in three- dimensions, using scale-model buildings, but also along the fourth dimension of time; spanning 650 years of architectural history.
The puzzle includes 80 building replicas that depict The City of Light as it appeared as far back as 1345 through to 2015, and includes such iconic structures as the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and Notre Dame Cathedral. The base of the puzzle is a traditional 2D jigsaw puzzle composed of 870 pieces that forms the city’s street layout and islands. During the process of constructing the base map, one learns about Paris’ neighborhoods, streets, museums, and more. Once the puzzle base is complete, the vertical building of Paris begins by placing 80 buildings and skyscrapers in chronological sequence. This is done by following the enclosed Time Poster.

- bought this to work with granddaughter – I worked the first layer myself, then the second – very difficult but then that’s the fun of a puzzle! My granddaughter is helping me place the iconic buildings where they belong. I lived in Paris for a year so it was thrilling for me to “re-visit”. Best of all, there is a time line…….the buildings, bridges, structures are put into place as they were built.
- What a unique way to learn about Paris- geography and history. This puzzle appeals to child, parent and grandparent. We had the laptop next to the puzzle to wiki each building. Nice!
- I LOVE these puzzles. I’ve done London and have Paris waiting for the bad weather to come! They are both challenging.
- Paris not as interesting as London, but much better than New York.
- The pieces were very very small and cut identically. Since the colors on the base are in beige and black only, it would’ve been very tedious – actually torture to do it. The modern day level made of thicker foam pieces was very interesting and fun. My 9 year old daughter stuck with it and couldn’t wait to put the 3 dimensional building pieces into it. I think it’s worth it if you know you may want to omit the base level altogether and skip to the modern day level puzzle.
