Mepiform with Safetac technology self adherent soft silicone sheeting, 4 X 7 Inch, 5 Count, softens and fades red and distinctive scars resulting from surgery, accidents, cuts, and burns. Mepiform may be used as a prophylactic treatment to avoid scar formation, which may take up to one year.
This brand is especially suitable for people with sensitive or delicate skin. Similar to other brands these sheets also flatten, soften and fade red and raised scars but the way of adherance is different.

PROS:
- My 9 year old daughter sustained 3rd degree burns throughout her little body which needed skin graft surgery, after wearing compression gloves on her hand, upper arm and her donor site we were introduced to this silicone patch. Within a few weeks of wearing the silicone my daughters burns made a drastic change and I couldn’t be more grateful. She said they make all of her burns feel so much better and the appearance of her burns look so much better as well. I would recommend this product to everyone!!! It has changed our outlook on her recovery and gave her that much more hope to heal as normal as possible. Thank you!
- These bandages are perfect! And the price was excellent! I recently had surgery. My surgeon recommend these to help my incision heal well. These are very comfortable and easy to wear. Because of them I don’t think I’m going to have much of a scar. Yay!!!
CONS:
- I used this for 2 months after breast cancer surgery. Unfortunately, it didn’t hold up well to daily showers, even though I shielded it. It does reduce scarring, though.
- expensive, very thin, very itching, made my skin sweat.
