PROS:
- Beautiful, detail, robust and wonderfully articulated with extendible wings. This set was one of the most coveted toys over Christmas and i can see why. Another fine job by the Lego Star Wars design team. It baffles me the standard of Star Wars Sets compared to the Super Hero Sets i mean i get they are different design teams but surely the standards should be the same.This sets can be a somewhat challenging build so may not be suitable for younger children but more competent builders will love this set and the inclusion of fantastic mini figures that come with it. General Hux himself and a Storm Troopers officer, both unavailable in other sets at this time. A job well done and a guarantee that purchasers of this item will not be disappointed. Recommended to both Lego fans and Star Wars fans alike.
- Awesome Lego set and my wife and I had a great time putting it together. Especially love the folding wings and the firing bullets, unlike my wife who had one pinged against her head much to her disgust lol
- This set is amazing it has a lot of details. This a pretty heavy set and the spring loaded shooters are he-den well. I love the engines and the wings that fold. The price for this set is a little to high and the inside is to small for six minifigs.
CONS:
- The wings are permenantly stowed in the folded position!! They don’t fold out, this is a display piece that is static in the “Landed” position, that’s like an X-wing with wings that don’t spread.
- As always the set was a pleasure to assemble. As a Star Wars fan, I was disappointed in the lack of articulation for the wings. There were no lower wings in the movie. The main wings are supposed to open into a Y-Formation but do not. Hopefully, in another iteration this oversight can be corrected.
- The ship is totally the wrong colour, should be black and with red cockpit lights at the front, and the biggest problem is that the wings do not fold out in flight like in the movie. This is very poor for Lego, from what looks like a well produced design.
