The Mad Catz M.O.U.S. 9 Wireless Mouse is a versatile gaming-grade mouse featuring Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (BLE). This makes it very power-efficient when paired with another BLE device like a PC, Mac, tablet, smartphone or laptop. For non-Bluetooth devices, simply plug the included dongle into a USB port to start using the mouse. The mouse runs on one AA battery, which can power the mouse for up to one year. The mouse also supports GameSmart technology, which allows it to operate with a variety of mobile devices.
For ergonomic comfort, the length of the palm rest can be adjusted. The mouse also features a 990dpi laser sensor that tracks up to 6m per second. Each of the ten buttons on the mouse can be programmed through software. Additionally, a custom travel pouch is included.

- Setup was simple. The only problem I had was adjusting the palm rest. There was no mention of how to adjust the palm rest in the manual or online, and I didn’t want to break my new mouse by forcing pieces to move, so it took me some time to figure out there is a “sweet spot” to press on to move the palm rest back.The mouse tracks very smooth at high sensitivity, as expected. The Bluetooth works easily. The dongle is a simple alternative.
- Expensive. Sensor isn’t quite as gaming-oriented as other Mad Catz mice.
- While this mouse looks very similar to the R.A.T. models, with this mouse, the only adjustable part is the palm length. This was an oversight on my part and I was pretty disappointed when the mouse finally arrived. I think, at this price point, the mouse should at least give you the ability to change the thumb and pinky grips.
