PROS:
- I bought these as an upgrade to my old Plantronics headset, which was very good. This headset blows the old one out of the water. The sound is stunning and the mic mechanism is much better. Only gripe I have is fabric ear covers, which are still very comfortable if not as durable as fake leather. Other than that, this is THE gaming headset to get. Hands down. The design is great, it’s well built. It has amazing sound in regular, 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound modes. Each mode is different, but all of the audio is excellent.
- This is one of the best headsets on the market for the price. But after using them for about a week I must say I’m intently impressed. Ive tested them on win 7,8,vista each work just by a quick plugin. I do have a few complaints 1st they dont have enough support in the back of your ear 2nd would be the quality from the mic its clear and understandable but just not on par to what I’m used to with my other headsets.
- The sound quality of this headset is jaw dropping and took me by surprise when I first tried it on. If you want a gaming headset that is affordable with great sound quality and also for listening to music, Plantronics GameCom 780 is highly recommended.
CONS:
- Plastic headband and housing feel flimsy. Buttons and volume wheel do not feel like they will withstand extended use.
- Ear cups are a little shallow, the tips of my ears touch the hard plastic and I don’t have ears that stick out exceptionally far so this may be an issue for a lot of people.
- The ear cups are bigger than necessary.
