Designed with a 6-head/12-disk configuration and 512E bytes per sector, the Seagate 6TB Desktop 128MB Cache 7200RPM HDD is an internal drive with a storage capacity of 6TB, an average read/write data rate of 180 MB/s, and a maximum sustainable data transfer rate of 220 MB/s. 6TB of storage provides the necessary space to store large files, as well as a variety of multimedia content. This hard drive serves a variety of purposes including desktop or all-in-one PCs, home servers, and direct-attached storage devices (DAS).
The SATA III 6 Gb/s interface allows for native hot swapping and fast data transfers and is also backwards compatible with SATA II 3 Gb/s and SATA 1.5 Gb/s standards, while the 128MB cache helps to ensure uninterrupted data transfers.
